Instrumentalists! I'm pleased to announce I'm making available sheet-music versions of some of my Smooth-Jazz piano songs from different albums. These can be either printed or downloaded from the DM lead-sheets page on this site. All songs include the main notated melody in the original key, chord symbols and guitar tab. Perfect for piano, guitar and any lead instrument

I've posted five of my Smooth Jazz songs up to now. Secret Smile can be printed straight off the site.  Four others, - Fresh Air (which also includes transcribed solos),  Autumn Mood, Dream Your Dream and Smokee Vibes - can be emailed to you after you fill in a form. All are free! I may make others available later, depending on uptake. Also, please feel to give feedback here and to tell me which tell me songs you'd like a lead-sheet for!

  • comin thru'Some tracks from my earlier albums "Dream Your Dream" and "Good to Go" get regular air-play on Sky Smooth Jazz 247 in particular, and a lot of people have told me that they really enjoy them but find it hard to buy those on "Good To Go" in particular, either on CD (except for some crazy price!) or as mp3.This is mainly because that album is from some years ago and the U.S. rights-holders (who are not the original record-company Instinct Records) don't seem to wish to make it available, despite requests. However, a good alternative is to buy a compilation called “Comin’ Thru” which is available for a reasonable price on Amazon.com and which includes 15 tracks selected from both that album and the previous one, “Dream Your Dream”. It's also available on Amazon.co.uk, and other local "Amazons".

I am also streaming "Good To Go" and other albums from "other albums" page on this site, and also from Soundcloud.

    Hope that helps!

  • Special offer!

I'm giving away an mp3 version of any one of my previous albums (Dream Your Dream, Good To Go and others)! That's as a free-gift for any purchase through my website of an mp3 or CD version of my 2013 album "Fresh Air"!  Click on Buy button on homepage left-sidebar.

Some people have contacted me about problems with availability of my previous albums (especially outside U.S.), for example those often heard on Sky.fm smooth-jazz channels, so this is my remedy!

I also have a very few CDs of these albums for sale "as-new", signed on request. Please contact through website for details.

    Jan 7th 2014, Brazil

Sitting here in Salvador, Brazil sipping a Caiparinha by the pool at my hotel next to the broad Alantic....Music is everywhere in Salvador, the first capital of Brazil, a place that culturally is almost a part of Africa. Visiting the old city-center yesterday, we first heard, at a small street-café, some beautiful bossa-nova with vocals, guitar and drums. This however, was almost over-powered acoustically by the sound of the Olodum percussion from their open-air concert hall a few metres away. Olodum is a Bahian percussion-based performance group, so famous they even made a video with Michael Jackson in the nearby Pelourinho (Pillory) Square. Intrigued by the sound, I walked a little down the narrow street, but could not enter as the concert was already much progressed. Still, just the sound from outside was very impressive, and reminds you that music on CD or video can be a very pale imitation of the live version! The sound of the drums reverberating through the ancient streets delivers a powerful emotional response that is hard to describe, not to mention the rhythms and groove, which could be the beat to any contemporary dance-music production! We're hoping to attend an actual concert in the same place this evening.

I'll try to post a few photos of Salvador and Bahia later after I'm finished at the pool!

  1. Dear Duncan,
I love the Album “Good to Go”, especially the song Sci-Fi Hi. I’ve searched high and low for this song on MP3 but to no avail. I was able to download your other songs. Good to go is selling for $79 new & used $49 on Amazon, unfortunately I cannot afford that price. Can you please tell me when this song and other songs from this particular album be available on MP3? Thank you.

    1. Hi Pam, great to hear from you, and that you like “Good To Go”. That album is from some years ago and the rights-holders (who are no longer the original record company) do not seem to wish to make it available, despite requests.

However, a good alternative is to buy a compilation called “Comin’ Thru” which is available for a reasonable price on Amazon.com
and which includes 15 tracks selected from both that album and the previous one, “Dream Your Dream”, including “Sci-Fi Hi”! I can see they have 10 copies at the moment. ^

I am also streaming “Good To Go” from “other albums” page on this site, and also from Soundcloud.

      Hope that helps!
